Lisa Jensen

Short Bio: Lisa and Steve Jensen have been married since October 7, 2000. They raise two beautiful golden retrievers, Toby and Jackson, enjoy taking vacations, walking the “boys” together and attending St. Luke’s. The Jensen’s joined St. Luke’s in May 2005 and Lisa was confirmed at St. Luke’s in June 2006 by Father Ron Jackson and Bishop Kisekka. Lisa and Steve have served regularly with the Usher/Greeters and in 2009, Lisa worked with the Stewardship Committee and helped organized the family fun carnival in May. In June of 2009, Steve and Lisa hosted their first small group Bible Study with the 40 days of Love Campaign and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know their neighbors!

Since 1996, Lisa has worked for Glendale Unified School District as a special education teacher at Cerritos Elementary School. Currently, Lisa is on the Instructional Leadership Team helping to keep teachers informed of a variety of ways to teach children. In May 2004, Lisa completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Cal State Northridge, serving in leadership in the school system. She has been a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International since May 1999, serving as president of the chapter from 2002-2004.

Lisa now feels a strong urging to learn more about Vestry membership. She has a desire to be in a leadership position to follow God’s will to help others and is willing to help at St. Luke’s in any way she can.
