On Ash Wednesday, we mark our foreheads with ash to remind ourselves of our need for a Savior. Ash Wednesdays begins Lent. Lent is a 40 day season during which we prepare our hearts to receive afresh the reality of Jesus’ death and resurrection. We celebrate Jesus’ last week of life, and his resurrection, during Holy Week and Easter (March 24-31).
