Giving Made Easy
When you give, you’re not only being obedient to God’s Word, you’re also making a huge difference in the community.
6 Ways to Give
Regular giving goes to our operating budget. Additional gifts may be designated for the Harvest of Joy campaign (building), missions, or the rector’s discretionary fund.
Every year in the fall season we offer members and regular attenders an opportunity to make pledges about their giving for the coming year. This allows the church to budget responsibly for the new year.
01 Online Giving
Most bank websites allow you to automatically mail checks from your account for free. OR use one of the PayPal buttons below to set up a one time or recurring donation. Please note PayPal incurs a 2.2% fee for every transaction.
Our basic operating expenses, such as personnel, office supplies, hospitality, and Christian education.
For building renovations.
We are almost finished with Phase 2 of 3 renovation projects.
We have mission partners in Kenya, Belize, Chile, Florida, and Los Angeles.
A special fund overseen by the Financial Committee that allows the rector to give to those in special need while keeping their situations private.
02 Traditional Check
You can mail or drop off a check. Our locked mailbox is just to the left of the front doors.
03 In Person Giving
We pass an offering plate on Sundays. Consider putting your check or cash into an envelope with your name on it for confidentiality purposes. This also allows us to credit your giving to your account so you can receive a year-end giving statement for tax purposes.
04 Planned Giving
Have you given any thought to "planned giving" as a way to ensure that the work of St. Luke’s will be funded in the future? In addition to the traditional ways of giving on a current basis, making provision in your estate documents for a future gift to St. Luke’s is a wonderful way to ensure that the support you care about will be there for our work.
Some planned giving options include:
Cash Donation - deduct 100% of the gift value
Gift of Appreciated Stock - Support St. Luke’s while avoiding the capital-gain tax
A Charitable Bequest - Reduce estate and death taxes, retain control over your assets during your lifetime
A Charitable Gift Annuity - Receive a current income stream and an immediate income tax relief
A Deferred-payment Gift Annuity- Immediate income tax reduction and income to begin at a designate future date
If you would like to explore these financial options with St. Luke’s, please contact the office.
Be sure to consult your attorney or financial advisor before making a final decision.
05 Give As You Shop
By shopping at dealaid.org, a portion of your purchase can be donated to our Harvest of Joy campaign. Click the box below to find out more and set up your account. Since AmazonSmile is ending, those who used to give to AmazonSmile might choose to switch to DealAid.
06 CRV Recycling
Bring California CRV items on the first Sunday of each month, preferably in a plastic trash bag. Put them in the northeast corner of the parking lot where the metal trash containment fence meets the building wall. All money raised from recycling goes to our building fund.
“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
